ABOUT

TEAM d'uva

curious minds

We are a group of professionals, lovers of art and new technologies. A diverse team of curious minds but united by passion and a common goal: to tell stories that generate emotions, create memories and produce innovative and engaging digital experiences.

a LONG HISTORY

Since 1959 we have been talking about heritage through technology

1959

The beginning: the Milan Cathedral

Everything has a beginning, sometimes it is discreet, sometimes it is disruptive. Ours was unexpected: in 1959, Pope Paul VI, still Archbishop of Milan, welcomed the multilingual audio guides invented by Giovanni D’Uva in the Duomo

AND THE IMAGES?

An audio guide was no longer enough; so we invented the first video guide: 12 slides synchronized with the audio thanks to a photoelectric cell: pure technology! Meanwhile, our audio guides were already in the cathedrals of Florence, Pisa and Siena and in almost all the churches of Rome.

1976

1997

AUDIOTOUR IN THE COLOSSEUM

The Ronchey Law had opened museums to the private management of reception services, including the audio tour. We proposed one of the first digital audio guides and installed it at the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. A new beginning: this time disruptive!

Audioguide a Pompei

An audio guide in Pompeii? We won the first race to manage the Pompeii and Herculaneum audio tour. Then, over time, we have extended the services to ticket offices, bookshops and didactics and we have activated them in wonderful sites throughout Italy. Meanwhile, our audio guides were already in the cathedrals of Florence, Pisa and Siena and in almost all the churches of Rome.

A DIGITAL LILIUM

The first videoguide has an heir: a multimedia station called Lilium Touch. A kiosk that is always activated with a coin, always offers an audiovisual story but that’s a whole other story! More advanced technology and content and a unique design

A new headquarters

An audio guide in Pompeii? We won the first race to manage the Pompeii and Herculaneum audio tour. Then, over time, we have extended the services to ticket offices, bookshops and didactics and we have activated them in wonderful sites throughout Italy. Meanwhile, our audio guides were already in the cathedrals of Florence, Pisa and Siena and in almost all the churches of Rome.

A SOUNDTRACK EXPERIENCE

We faced the year of Covid by producing the first soundtrack experience: a new way to tell art through art. D’Uva created, for the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the soundtrack of the audio guides of the Vatican Chapels, composed by Antonio Fresa, published with Adesiva Discografica and played live with the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice.

Digital shock

The pandemic has transformed the use of art and culture. visitors on the one hand, museums on the other and in the center the unexpressed potential of technology , which allowed us to open our eyes and imagine new digital experiences .
